“I just followed up with a patient of mine who has made sooo many positive changes. His A1c has dropped from 9.4 to 8.5 within the past 2 months. At my first visit with him several months ago, he was not taking his medications as prescribed, did not feel them necessary and had lots of unsupported beliefs regarding medications. With LOTS of education and motivational interviewing, he is now taking his medications as prescribed, checking his blood sugars 4 times daily, reduced soda intake, blood sugar has improved significantly, Blood pressure has improved significantly, and patient is finally taking better charge of his health :)”
