The Importance of Proper Documentation
Appropriate Medical Documentation is absolutely essential for creating a proper care plan for any patient with Type 2 Diabetes.
The Nutrition Care Process (NCP) is a systemic approach to providing high-quality nutrition care while using a universal language. It is set up as four parts and is represented as a circle due to its continuous nature. ADIME the acronym used for representing the four steps stands for Assessment, Diagnosis, Intervention, and Monitoring and Evaluating. These steps help dietitians understand the needs of the patient and help to plan the approach for caring for the patient. The nutrition care process allows healthcare professionals to communicate amongst each other in a universal language understood by all.
We are proud to be using the NCP here at Dietitian’s at Home! Check it out in our notes — coming soon to a fax near you!
